Maritime Launch Services gets conditional approval for Toronto Stock Exchange listing
Maritime Launch Services Inc. has received conditional approval to list its common shares on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker MAXQ.

Maritime Launch Services Inc. has received conditional approval to list its common shares on the Toronto Stock Exchange, the Halifax-based commercial space company announced on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2026. Upon meeting final listing requirements and obtaining final approval from the exchange, the company will trade under the ticker symbol MAXQ.
Maritime Launch currently trades on the Cboe Canada Exchange and the OTCQB Venture Market, where its shares have listed since 2022. The company said in a press release that it will provide a future update to confirm the date trading begins on the Toronto Stock Exchange and when its listing on Cboe Canada ends.
Transition to Operational Launch
Founded in 2016, Maritime Launch owns and operates Spaceport Nova Scotia, an in-development commercial facility located outside Canso, Nova Scotia. The site is designed to provide satellite launch access to polar, low Earth, and sun-synchronous orbits for both Canadian and international clients.
Stephen Matier, president and chief executive officer of Maritime Launch, said the conditional listing marks a key step as the company moves its spaceport from development toward execution. He noted that the move is intended to broaden the firm's reach among Canadian investors.
"This listing will strengthen our visibility in Canadian capital markets as we continue to build the infrastructure, deliver on our customer commitments, and advance the operational capabilities needed to establish sovereign orbital launch capability in Canada," Matier said.
The spaceport project has experienced delays in recent years, according to BetaKit. A commercial rocket launch conducted by the company last November fell short of its intended target. However, the federal government committed $200 million earlier this year to lease Spaceport Nova Scotia for 10 years to support operational needs for the Department of National Defence and Canadian allies.
Market Expansion and Partnerships
Maritime Launch recently partnered with Isar Aerospace and Galaxia to advance its launch capabilities and safety systems. The company stated that it plans to conduct its first orbital launch at the Nova Scotia facility next year.
Graduating to the TSX places the company on Canada's largest stock exchange. Cboe Canada accounts for nearly 15 percent of all trading volume in Canadian-listed securities, while the Toronto Stock Exchange handles the majority of trading volume nationwide. Other companies moving to the TSX have cited access to a larger pool of institutional investors, increased market visibility, and improved stock liquidity.
